EMV SECURITY CHIP CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS
Woodmen Federal Credit Union now issues EMV security chip cards. EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard, and Visa. EMV chip cards are more secure than magnetic strip cards. Unlike magnetic stripe cards, when you use an EMV card, the card chip creates a unique transaction code that cannot be used again. It is a one-time approval code that is only applicable to that transaction and cannot be duplicated for fraudulent purposes.
The Credit Union is currently issuing Visa security chip cards as they renew. If you would like to accelerate the reissue of your Visa credit or Visa debit card, please contact the Credit Union.
